Board Meeting Minutes
March 15, 2006
Attendance: Kevin Ketchum, Teresa Graves, Jesse Kenyon, Anna Naples, Sharon
Wheeler
The meeting began at 7 p.m.
Minutes:
There will be two sets of minutes from now on. One set that contains
information that may be confidential will be sent to Board members. A second set
which does not contain confidential information will be sent to Bruce to be
posted on the website.
New HOA Laws:
Kevin will scan and email new laws to Board members. They should be translated
into laymans terms for homeowners. Kevin will also ask Alan for a simplified
version (summary) to send out to homeowners with a cover from the Board.
Subdivision Meet & Greet:
Kevin will formulate an introductory letter to homeowners. Sharon suggested
including pictures of the new Board members. Also included will be information
about the Yahoo Group. Anna will prepare the wording and send to Kevin. Everyone
should send an electronic picture to Kevin for the newsletter. Also include a
short biography that tells about your job, length of time at Marbrey Landing,
family, and anything else fun / personable that you might want people to know
about you. We may do a group photo later for the website.
The Meet and Greet will be targeted for April.
Website:
A link to the Yahoo Group should be added to the website. For Yahoo Group, a
name and address will be required for membership to the group. Anna approves
everyone for membership. She will also keep a spreadsheet of members. Anna
suggests posting a monthly question in order to keep members motivated to stay
involved.
Jesse will talk to Bruce about the following changes to the website:
Change the calendar on the website to a monthly view
Add holidays and Durham Public Schools dates to the calendar
Reducing spam generated from emails
Remove Board member addresses from website (names and addresses will be
published in the newsletter)
Add an archive for each year (minutes, news, newsletter, etc.)
Add a placeholder for minutes
Architectural Guidelines:
Tabled until next meeting. Jim Bury will be invited to attend the next
meeting.
Any violations that are not gross should be grandfathered
